Scientists at EPFL and Wageningen University have developed an AI model that recognizes plastic objects floating on water in satellite images.

Thanks to a collaboration between CHUV, EPFL – through the Swiss Data Science Center – and UNIL, a predictive platform based on artificial intelligence is under development to improve patient care.

Food insecurity in sub-Saharan Africa is widespread, with crop yields much lower than in many developed regions. The project aims to use laser spectroscopy to measure fluxes and isotopic composition of N2O from maize and potato crops subjected to a range of fertilization levels.
